On the 17 th of September, an article released by the AAP included an image of a pro-
Palestinian encampment with the caption referencing antisemitism in universities. We
considered this to be a breach of the APP standards under Impartiality and Fairness 2.1 as it
promotes the biased view that the pro-Palestinian movement is antisemitic.
We have requested that the AAP change the image or the caption so that the two concepts
are not tied together.
After our email, AAP wrote back immediately and updated the image.
BEFORE:
Image links antisemitism with the pro-Palestinian encampment.
AFTER:
New image used is neutral and has not linked antisemitism to the pro-Palestinian movement.
