The Daily Telegraph Journalists Allegedly Attempt to Fabricate an Antisemitic Incident in Newtown Sydney.

On 11 February, it was revealed that three Daily Telegraph journalists, alongside a prominent Israeli Zionist, were caught attempting to stage an alleged antisemitic incident. The operation titled ‘UNDERCOVER JEW’ included the use of covert video-recording eyewear to capture interactions as they visited a well-known pro-Palestinian establishment.

We raised these serious ethical concerns with the editor, given that the tactics used seem designed to create a conflict rather than foster genuine discourse. This, in turn, misleads the Australian public and risks misrepresenting individuals and communities.

We called on the editor to publicly address these accusations and conduct a thorough investigation as well as a public apology to the restaurant owners, staff and the affected community.
