The Australian Fatwa Council was established by ANIC in 2019 as one of its core divisions and services to the community.
The Australian Fatwa Council will focus on issuing Fatwas (Islamic Verdicts) and research on contemporary issues and matters pertaining to Australian Muslims, spiritual guidance and preservation of the Islamic Identity.
The selection of the Australian Fatwa Council members was based on nominations, qualifications, experience and competency.
